Born and raised in Saginaw I had the interesting distinction of being the very first graduate from Saginaw Valley State University in 1966.  I immediately put my nursing degree into practice working in a variety of clinical settings at Saginaw General Hospital while I started my family.  In the process or raising two children I felt I needed more time at home and so I transitioned into teaching nursing at Delta College in a part time capacity at first and then full time as my children got older.  Teaching was extremely rewarding as it allowed me to stay very active clinically and gave me a hand in shaping the nurses of tomorrow.  I have always been so proud of my students many of whom are still practicing as top notch clinicians in our local medical community.

In 1985 I was able to start living my dream of providing the highest quality, most patient centered care in the Saginaw area when myself and a partner started A&D Home Health Care, Inc.  After we became Medicare certified in 1986  our business grew and eventually I retired from Delta College to run the agency full time and my partner retired altogether.  This has allowed me to expand the agency in several ways while retaining our focus on the care of our local mid-Michigan community.

After practicing medicine for 15 years in the Lansing area with a portion of that as Director of a Sparrow Family Medical Services – West, I left practice there in January of 2008 in order to work full time with A & D Home Health Care as their Operations Officer.  I feel I can bring a unique perspective to a homecare agency’s office and clinical operations, helping field and office staff function smoothly together for the benefit of our patients.  Backing up our excellent nurses provides me with the rewarding continuity of care that can so often be lacking in modern medicine.  Providing education and clinical support for all facets of the agency’s staff has also been a large part of what I do and has helped me feel like a valuable part of the patient care process.  I know that A & D has an excellent reputation as a home care provider in the mid-Michigan area in large part due to the hard work, sacrifice, and compassion of its CEO, Roselyn Argyle.  For the last 24 years I watched her surround herself with the most dedicated caregivers all of whom share her vision for providing the most patient oriented and highest quality home health care.  It makes me proud to be a part of the best home health care team mid-Michigan has to offer and I look forward to continuing our tradition of putting patients first and serving you in the future.  Remember, “It’s your choice!”

I began my nursing career in 1983, following in the footsteps of my mother and my three sisters. I guess you could say that I was “born” to be a nurse.  Fortunately, I was born into a profession I love!  My nursing experiences have been diverse including acute care hospitals, long-term hospitals, doctor’s offices, surgical nursing, teaching and home health care.  Helping people has really been my aspiration in life as well as my career and A&D has afforded me the time and resources to put my talents to the best use and reach the patients who need me most in the place they are most comfortable.  I know A&D really does put the “Home” in Home Health Care.
